RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING

CANCELLATION & CHANGE

 The following rules and regulations will help you to understand how the cruise lines as well as Preston Group Cruises function in regard to cancellation or changes which you may need to make.  This sheet is not meant to be all encompassing but to give an overview of the most common events.  For complete details please consult your cruise catalog, go to the online info center for your cruise line in cruise search, or call Preston Group Sales/Svc. Toll Free at 1-866-704-4076 for complete details.   The following information is incorporated herein by reference to the cruise lines complete Cruise Ticket Contract. 

  1. Cruise Name changes – ONE Name can be changed up to 75 days prior to cruise with no fee.  Both Names cannot be changed that is considered a 100% cancellation.  One Name can be changed up to 72 hours prior for a charge of 50.00.  NO Name changes  less than 48 hours prior due to New Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) APIS SECURITY REGULATION requirements.
  2. Airline Cancellations - Airline tickets for cruises are non-refundable and non cancelable but can be changed for a fee to the airline.  No name changes are allowed at any time. The change must be made prior to the original date of departure or the tickets become null and void. Insurance is highly recommended on cruise bookings.
  3. Air deviations – Pre/Post packaging is available. Passengers wishing to fly in early or stay a few extra days at their cruise port may do so.  Preston Group Travel has an air deviation desk designed for just this purpose.  Preston Group can accommodate most of these changes but they must be done at the original time of booking.  Changes requested after initial booking would be subject to the particular airline or cruise lines cancellation, change and fee policies. Air deviations will be confirmed within 24 hours of your request.  Preston Group can make air deviations up to 48 hours prior to your cruise date.  Heavy fees and difference in airfare may apply pending the airline you are using and what changes you wish to make.  Airlines to DO NOT CHANGE NAMES FOR ANY REASON  There is a $25.00 fee per person for change,  plus any difference and fees in air fare per person if required for the new dates.  You will be advised of the costs before we make any changes to your booking.  Please call Sales/Svc Toll Free at 1-866-704-4076 for further details and payment requirements for your particular changes.
  4. Hotel/Car Accommodations – If an air deviation is completed for you the air deviation desk can also complete your reservations for hotels or cars during those days if needed.  Preston Group has a wide range of hotels and car companies to choose from.  Please advise your agent when setting up your air deviation request that you will be needing a hotel and/or car the agent will advise you of the cost for those additions and any cancellation or change penalties regarding these booking including payment requirements prior to making any change.
  5. Cruise ONLY Cancellations – Cruise cancellations and penalties are completed on an increasing scale pending date of cancellation.   75 days or more prior to your cruise no penalty.  Less than 75 days but more than 45 days prior $250.00 per person.  Less than 45 but more than 14 days prior is 50% of total cruise price.  Less than 14 days 100% Penalty NO REFUND.  Airline tickets are non-refundable. Please consider purchasing Travel insurance to protect against possible cancellations costs.
  6. Cruise Cancellation Insurance is available and is highly recommended for purchase and provides trip cancellation/interruption coverage. Cruise Insurance must be purchased within FIVE 5 days of  booking your cruise. Other insurance is available for those purchasing insurance more than 5 day after booking is made.  For additional information please call our   Sales/Svc Desk Toll Free at 1-866-704-4076 .   7. Transfers – Transfers to/from the airport to docks are good only for original cruise dates. Transfers cannot be used for air deviation dates and if unused are non-refundable.
